Depression for Adults
Depressive episodes have become a common occurrence in an individual’s life perhaps as a reaction to troubling events and stressful situations. The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI notes that more than 17 million U.S. adults—over 7% of the population—had at least one major depressive episode in the past year (2019).
These episodes may include: changes in sleep and appetite patterns, low mood and energy, loss of interest in activities and social interaction, agitation and irritability.
